September Happenings at the Maynard Public Library

First, on Wednesday, September 10, Friends members are invited to the Acme Theater dress rehearsal of their latest play, God of Carnage. This performance is of a Tony-winning drama right here in Maynard for the bargain price of $5! Plan to be seated by7:45.
Here's the description from the Acme website:
A playground altercation between eleven-year old boys brings together two sets of Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses, and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their liberal principles in tatters.

Then, on Tuesday, September 16, we will welcome cookbook author Clara Silversteinto the library at 7 pm. Clara has written three lovely collections--A White House Garden Cookbook, The Boston Chef's Table and The New England Soup Factory Cookbook. Come learn some new recipes to enjoy the bounty of the fall! Books will be available for purchase and there will be a tasting of some selected recipes. This event is co-sponsored by Open Table and we hope you will consider bringing a food item for the Open Table pantry.

Save the dates for upcoming events:
Tuesday, Sept 23 @ 7 pm Book Launch for Julie Berry
Saturday, Sept 27 from 10-3 and Sunday, Sept 28 from 12-3 Maynard Fest Book Sale

See you at the library!
